ATAI Conference 2013

I could only attend the Friday night of this years ATAI conference. The exhibition of student work was again really inspiring. The standard is incredible. Here are a few images from the evening.

Following on from an earlier post, more signage!

Mural!

A lovely way to spend a bank holiday weekend, my friend Grace (a painter) & I spray-painted this mural at a friends house. Went through quite a few cans of spray paint and my hands now resemble claws, great fun though! I've been working long hours at Keyquests.com getting ready for our launch, so it was great to blow off a bit of creative steam doing this. I'd love to do it again!

Coppeen Heritage Society

My good friend Shane Cronin recently contacted me about designing a tourist map for his heritage society in Coppeen. Shane has been really active in Coppeen in promoting local heritage and tourism and this map is hoping to further boost public interest in Coppeen. I just recently finished the map which features illustrations from a local artist. The map will be installed on the 18th of August, hoping to make it down and see it in the flesh!

Amsterdam Signage

I was going through an old hard drive recently and came across loads of photos of signage and typography taken in various cities around Europe and the world. I never posted them when I took them, I just saved them for my own reference. Featured in this post are a few photos from Amsterdam in 2009. It always amazes me how other countries seem to have a much stronger visual culture in terms of design than we do.

I'll do a post of these once a month from various cities, until I have most of them online. Enjoy!

Wedding Invites

I recently finished these wedding invitations for friends of ours, Dan and Carola. I'm really pleased with how they turned out, they wanted to channel the Great Gatsby buzz that's around at the moment. Can't wait for the wedding!
